- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 January 2025I read this on holiday recently and I couldn't put it down. Ant writes in such an appealing, brutally honest and simple way that it makes more engaging. The steps in the book can be followed by almost everyone and I found myself feeling more positive as a result. As he states, this isn't an overnight fix, but it provides multiple stepping stones to get you most of the way. I will definitely be reading this again soon, but so I can take some notes on aspects of my life I want to change it alter. He's the kind of bloke I really wish I could have a pint with; the stories he would tell! I highly recommend this book!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 June 2023I wont lie I didn’t get far into the book yet but it is interesting and makes me want to read more so for that i will say it’s a great book the only problem i have with it is that a couple of pages in and there was a mistake im pretty sure they wanted to write “the powers that we had decided to send” instead it says “ the powers be decided to send “ so just letting people know it may be a little bit confusing to some
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 December 2024Ant have experience things in life casual people do not, his mind set up is contagious. I have read 3 or 4 of his books, amazing.

Hopefully people can learn something from this book.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 February 2022Finding it a little hard to read. Lots of reference to army life/military life and lots of swearing. Some good advice in there but you have to get over the bad language.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 July 2023Also popular from the survival series SAS who dares wins, Ant Middleton has here written; a personal and instructive Autobiography, where he balances the struggles on the battlefield, to the other, less lethal, but nonetheless important stresses, of managing a home life. And that being there for your kids, needs to be on your mind All of the time. Even if for whatever reasons, you can't be there all the time, in person.
About his family; Any also says that you can't expect to win every argument, and Never lay a finger on your kids or spouse, even if you feel really mad with them. I really respect him for this statement, because he shows that he is still able to switch off, even when under great pressure. I really respect him for this
John.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
I love Ant's positivity. It was one of the best books I've read on mental fitness (and I've read quite a few). Just love how he recaps everything at the end of each chapter as it makes it so easy to go back and recall all that you've read.

4.0 out of 5 stars A surprising amount of sense
Better than I had anticipated after reading some of the other reviews. There is a lot of good information and interesting points of view in here. Pick and choose what works for you, there really is something for everybody.
