This book follows on from the previous one and Rachel is determined to rescue Angela from the cartel. She has no contacts in Mexico, but manages to stir up a hornets nest when she gets a lead on Angela's whereabouts.
Can she survive long enough to rescue Angela when the cartel are determined to hunt her down and eliminate her?
I could not put this book down and I'm definitely looking forward to Rachel's next adventure.

    Rachel Hatch is addictive.

Hatch is not a woman to give up and heads to trouble with no hesitation.

Hatch sets out in relentless pursuit to save the one that got away.
She finds herself surrounded by a collection of nasty Mexican enemies and the price for keeping her promise.... Which might just cost Hatch her life.

Hatch will not back down from a promise, in her last adventures Hatch saved and brought back to her home one girl, but here returns for the girl that got away, and could not save.

Hatch heads for danger as always doing the good, putting her life as risk.

A well paced thriller, staying at the same pace throughout, not quite as exciting as some of the books in this series, but you still have to love the character, a strong woman.

Four star book, as slightly lacked the great action and thrilling pace of previous books.

Love all the books by LT Ryan, once you’ve read one series you automatically seek out the next. The thing I like is you can get to the end of one series, waiting for the next book then you change to one of the other series. Just read a few chapters of book 7 hope it’s not too long before it is here.

I'm glad the series has moved on from revenging Hatch's father's murder. The stories around human trafficking are horrible and we know it happens and people are moved into modern day slavery. I hope there are people like Hatch really out there trying to make a difference

Whilst I love these short stories, I just can't wait to get to the next book, to find out what happens next to Hatch

First, you really need to have read the previous 5 books in the series to understand this one. If you haven’t then you will struggle. Although in fairness I’ve read them and at times I still struggled.

As a character I really like Hatch. It’s an interesting take to have a female lead in a genre dominated by male ‘superhero’ characters. Yet in this novel I found her utterly unlikeable. The redeeming qualities that started to be uncovered in previous books were missing and she was, in my view, a pain in the arse.

Some of the secondary characters were interesting yet their story arcs were never properly explored and their fates unclear. Others had too much time and detail was given which was, in the context of the tale, completely unnecessary. It was padding in all the wrong places, and bad padding at that.

The plot, a carry on from the previous novel, was simple and believable enough right up to the end. There were moments when I found myself thinking “this is shite” as I lost interest and started to skim over pages. It felt like the authors were trying to drag the story out rather than conclude matters in a swift manner. This would have been better as a short and punchier 100 page novella to conclude the story line from book 6.

This isn't a bad book, yet it isn’t great. There are editing errors throughout, sections which make no sense at all, and pages full of padding and fluff as the authors try, and fail, to inject depth. For example, towards the end there’s a lot of talk about the “Devil’s Hand”, which leads into a whole section on good and evil etc., which detracts from the action because it’s just not needed. I don’t read books like this so I can think about philosophical concepts on what is and isn’t wrong!

This book should only appeal to Hatch readers and I imagine it will lead into book 7. However, if book 7 is as average as this one then I may give up on the series in the same way I’ve given up on the authors Jack Noble series because if became boring (at book 6 as well).

Another good read. Though lots of action it is an easy read. Good characters and well tied together. Some not very believable action sequences but pulls the reader along.

In this book Rachel is not doing a great job of disappearing. I suspect she will not ever learn. But maybe she will continue to help others as she does in this story.

As with the previous five books in the Rachel Hatch series, this one was also fast-paced and intensive. The story involved quite a bit of violence given that a notorious Mexican Cartel was involved. Rachel Hatch manages to somehow escape death and keep her promise of saving two more teenage girls who were to be sold.
