I really enjoyed reading this. It must have been quite an adventure to have done this at such a young age, and the dogs sounded lovely. Lots of emotion involved, and a nice short but sweet read.

A personal record of a young man’s relationship with two found stray dogs. The boy’ father, who appeared unable to recognize or empathize with another’s feelings, obtained two dogs for his son. When it was time to leave Africa and the father was willing to leave the dogs behind, he recognized his son’s anguish and behaved appropriately, lovingly. Very sweet story. Short but memorable.
