About the Author

Mark Birch-Machin PhD is part of the leadership team of St Luke's, Newcastle upon Tyne. He established Speakers of Life in 2009 as a prophetic training network and has taught widely on the prophetic in many parts of the world. Mark is also a PhD scientist with an international reputation and has co-founded two companies and co-invented commercial products.

Excellent book. A really practical help to pressing into your prophetic gifting and helping you growing as a speaker of life.It definitely helped me feast upon God's goodness in the secret place resting in Him at such a deep level and I am not content to go anywhere without His presence.

    I read this book a few months ago and found it to be really easy to learn from. There are so many practical tips on how to hear from God (and what to do when you hear!). The section on learning how to interpret dreams has been exteremely useful to me personally and I would highly recommend this book to those who are interested in learning how to operate in the supernatural power of our amazing God.     After being a part of an amazing prophetic prayer bible study, my friend recommended this book to me and it's honestly, INCREDIBLE. I've now recommended it to all of my friends who are seeking to deepen their prayer lives. The book is refreshingly human and deeply steeped in scripture. It reads like having a mentor come alongside you and share their wisdom - encouraging you to expand your love and faith in Jesus while offering real, practical guidance and stories from others along the journey.

    A few months ago I also had the pleasure of meeting the author. And the book made even more sense: he is one of the kindest, most Spirit-filled people I've ever met. There's a deep humility and authenticity about him in person that also comes through the pages of his book.

    READ and SAVOR this. If you're a fan of Bethel ministries/Kris Vallotton, Speakers of Life will become your new favorite book. If you're just starting to be intrigued by the idea of prophetic prayer, I'd start here.
